The shirt was worn by the host nation at the London 2012 Olympic Games, the first time a GB football team had competed in the Games since 1960. Managed by Stuart Pearce, the side topped a tricky group containing Senegal, UAE and a talented Uruguay side before losing in the Quarter Finals on penalties to eventual Bronze medallists South Korea after a 1-1 draw in Cardiff.
