What are Basic Shirts? Replica shirts? Player Issue Shirts? Match Issue Shirts?

Basic Shirts are official jerseys but are the most basic versions of the jersey often with less features to the other versions. These are not too common and not done for most shirts, usually only the bigger clubs produce these.

Replica shirts (stadium jersey) are official shirts/jerseys that you would buy from the club shop or reliable retailer and are the most common shirts.

Player Issue shirts (authentic jersey) are official shirts/jerseys often with special adapted features compared to the Replica Shirts and the version that is like the ones the players would wear.

Match Issue Shirts are player issue shirts/ jerseys (as above) either issued to a player or possibly worn by the player. Some players for example have a long-sleeved and short sleeved version of the shirt but choose to wear either one.

CONDITION AND AUTHENTICITY

Are the shirts original and official?

Yes, all the items on the website are official, authentic manufactured on the dates stated in the title and description.

We have a team of football shirt experts that verify the authenticity of every shirt uploaded to the site.

What is the condition of the shirts?

We include a written description of the condition of each shirt in the description, along with a mark out of 10 for the condition. All of our shirts are original, authentic shirts manufactured during the year stated on the title and description. If you would like more photos, please get in touch, and we will provide more photos.

Are these shirts new and unused?

The majority of our shirts are second hand and are original and authentic. We do not sell modern remakes or reproductions of old shirts. We only sell the real thing.

Each shirt is a piece of football history, as they no longer manufacture the authentic shirts.

However, we do sell some Brand New in Bag (BNIB) and Brand New with Tags (BNWT) shirts.

These shirts have not been opened or worn before. The new shirts are all original and authentic but have not been worn before.

The new shirts are clearly identified with the abbreviations above in both the title and description.

For any more questions, please send us a message with your question and we’ll happily answer.

How do you categorise the condition of the shirts?

We rate out the condition out of 10 which fall under the following conditions:

  • BNIB - Brand New in Bag
  • BNWT - Brand New with Tags
  • Excellent - 8-10/10 may have tiny defect, may not be noticeable.
  • Very Good – 7-7.9/10 Has a couple of defects
  • Good – 6-6.9/10 A fair few defects
  • Fair – 0-5.9 /10 A lot of defects

How to spot a fake football shirt?

After years of collecting football shirts ourselves, we have become experts in identifying fake football shirts.

How to take care/wash my football shirt?

We recommend you wash your shirts inside out and at a low temperature. If possible use a delicate setting to help limit the risk of damage. For very old items or those that have a lot of printed features hand wash is more suitable.
