Italy began the tournament in a tricky Group A with Wales, Switzerland and Turkey but managed to win 3 out of 3 games seeing them advancing to Round of 16. First up against Austria saw a 2-1 win after extra time. Next up was the Quarter finals where they faced Belgium where Italy scored two goals in the first half to secure a place in the Semi-Finals.
